DOES MY CHILD HAVE ANY LEGAL RIGHTS?
Children have the right to access special education services. Beginning at a child’s third birthday, schools are required to provide services to eligible children; however, parents are not required to enroll a preschool aged child in a special education program. Parents will be provided a copy of their legal rights at the time their child is referred for evaluation.
